south coast edge hiking tour

Experience the majestic coastline along the southern tip of Western Australia along the famous Bibbulmun Track.

We begin our journey overlooking Shelley beach, and then set off through the jaw-dropping coastal scenery of West Cape Howe National Park, home to around 500 flora species and the critically endangered Western Ringtail Possum.

Our trail initially winds through paperbarks, which soon give way to gorgeous coastal heath and pockets of forest with more stunning views, we often see whales too during the cooler months. You’ll traverse ancient granite slabs and connect with the geological processes and human stories that have shaped this uniquely biodiverse region.

We’ll make plenty of stops along the way to talk about what we see, and will take a break for a delicious locally packed morning tea at one of the Bibbulmun track’s famous hikers huts, where there is shelter and a toilet. We’ll then wind slowly downhill through magical she-oak woodland to our finish point at a delightful swimming beach, and The CAPE Bar.Store.Cafe is located conveniently nearby to take a well-earned rest and recap the day’s adventures.
