ancient forests and rivers hiking tour

Ancient giant tingle and karri trees, the famous Bibbulmun Track and the hidden Frankland River.

Our journey takes us through ancient tingle forests, a relic of wetter Gondwanan times, home to Tingle trees found nowhere else on earth apart from the Walpole region.

We get up close and personal with one of these gentle giants early on, and our day is filled with the many sounds of the forest. You’ll connect with the ruggedly beautiful Walpole area and its history as we move through the landscape and descend slowly towards the Frankland river making stops as needed along the way.

We’ll break for a delicious locally produced packed lunch at one of the Bibbulmun Track’s famous hikers huts situated on the river bank, where there is shelter and a toilet, before winding our way along the river towards our finish point further along the river.
